Lima, January 09, 2018.- The Peru brand will be able to be seen by more than 190 million people around the world thanks to the fact that our country has been the starting point of the 2018 Dakar Rally and that it will have six stages, PROMPERÚ reported.The 40th edition of this competition began on Saturday from Lima with the presence of President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski and the Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Eduardo Ferreyros, among other authorities, who gave the signal for the beginning of the rally in a symbolic way .
The passage of motorcycles, ATVs, cars and trucks that will tour Peru began at 8:00 a.m. and it lasted until after midday, before the watchful eye of the international media that have come together in our country and that will show Peru and the beauty of our tourist destinations-the Ica dunes, the Arequipa Andes and the Puno plateau- to its audience, estimated at around 190 million people in some 180 countries.To take advantage of this audience, PROMPERÚ has carried out a series of promotional activities so that the whole world knows more about our country and the warmth and hospitality of our people.
In addition, gastronomic fairs will offer the best of regional cuisines in the south.
