Apollo Hospitals submits documents related to Jayalalithaa case on the specified date*
Chennai, January 12, 2018:
Apollo Hospitals today appeared before the Arumugasamy Commission, and submitted detailed sets of documents regarding the treatment of former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. Apollo Hospitals filed affidavits and presented 30 volumes of the original medical records with copiesof documents pertaining to the medical treatment of the late C.M. The records furnished included details right from the time of her admission on 22nd September, 2016 to the date of her demise on 5th December, 2016.
At the time of hearing, the Xerox copies and originals were compared, and it was verified that the copies of documents were in order. The Hon’ble Commission took this on record officially and directed Apollo Hospitals to receive back the 30 volumes of original medical records.
Arumugasamy Commission is leading the inquiry in the death of former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, Apollo Hospitals has provided an undertaking to produce the originals as and when called upon. The Hospital had sought two week’s timeto file the entire set of medical records and accordingly on 3rd January the Commission posted the matter to 12th January to produce the documents.
