Vishnu Vishal demeans himself in his few movies that he keeps as a trend it seems. “Silukkuvarpatti Singam” is full fledged rural based film and the debut director Chella trust only with the risible and depicted Sathyamoorthi as a lethargic guy throughout the film, enormous eccentrics have been visualized it shows that there is no much strong narration, the characters are overlapping on the frames like the strangers.Vishnu Vishal gives an unco nv entional entertainment for the audience, but frequently opt the comedy contents, in the Vishnu Vishal produ cti on, Regina Cassandra, Oviya, Yogi Babu, Anandaraj, Karunakaran, Mansoor Ali Khan and Livingston join with Vi shnu Vishal to concentrate on the humour.
The guy Sathyamoorthi, who has projected himself as a weaker characterized, more of lacking confidence with his vitality, but when a spicy boiled egg missed out the ridiculous guy shows the power to anyone that he never mind of opposite people’s strength. The serious less Sathyamoorthi takes his profession in the same conditions, being a Police constable in the Silukkuvarpatti place, he never shows the sincerity in his job. His routine schedule in the police station has brought breakfast, lunch and tea for his higher officer. The young man focuses on bea uti ful girls. In that case, that he couldn’t recognize his cousin Raji (Regina Cassandra),comes to her hometown after years later, Sathya is starting to propose with Raji without knowing that she is relative to him.
In this circumstance “Cycle” Shankar, who is a criminal and even the rowdy that he was targeted by the police department. In this scenario, while Sathyamoorthi tempted of eating boiled egg the criminal hit on Sathya, in that case the boiled egg dislocate from his mouth, Sathya gets temper and arresting the criminal. With the inf luences, criminal comes out from the police station and he decided to revenge on Sathyamoorthi. The ludicrous guy how the way he applied all the tactics to come out of the tough situation is the balance drama.Nothing new couldn’t see in the performance of Vishnu Vishal, Regina Cassandra looks and costumes are beautiful, Oviya be mused her values in the record dancer eccentric, the top executive in comedies Yogi Babu was inadequate in his sequels.Silukkuvarpatti Singam
After giving a serious outing with Raatchasan, Vishnu Vishal has chosen a crazy comedy entertainer Silukk uv aarpatti Singam. Having bankrolled the film, neither him nor the debut director Chella show any sign of pret en se. Their sole aim is to make people laugh from the word go. Set at the backdrop of Dindugal, Sathyamoorthy aka Sakthi (Vishnu Vishal) is a happy-go-lucky constable who shuns away from predicaments and is contended doing petty jobs of fetching tea and snacks for others at the police station. He has a weakness for half-boiled eggs and if anyone disturbs him while eating the item, he gets hysterical. He falls for his morai-ponnu Rajeswari (Regina C assandra) who is a teacher. Meanwhile, a dreaded gangster Cycle Shankar (Sai Ravi) who dodges police comes to Silukkuvarpatti on a mission of murdering former minister Nilakottai Narayanan (Mansoor Ali Khan).
A situation arises when Sakthi locks horns with Cycle Shankar after the latter interrupts while gulping half-bo iled egg. So we witness the return of Vishnu Vishal as a police officer after, well, Raatsasan. He plays Sat hya moorthi, a carefree police constable who doubles up as an office boy, buying meals for his senior official (Livin gston). He shrugs off his responsibilities but is more than willing to pick a fight over an omelette. He also falls for every other girl he sees (and they seem to reciprocate, though I can’t understand why). When a superior officer tries to dramatically motivate Sathyamoorthi to pursue a dreaded criminal, he runs away…literally. Apart from Sathyamoorthi, Silukkuvaarpatti Singam also introduces us to a variety of crazy characters to set up a dozen-od d plot points, like the villainous Cycle Shankar (Sai Ravi) and his wise-cracking sidekick Tony (Yogi Babu).
All these characters get their own funny episodes as well, though only a few work. There’s an elaborate joke in volving crying wives begging police officers to not release their drunk husbands who’ve been locked up, and that was, tiring, to say the least. We also get an offensive rape joke when Yogi Babu’s character suggests “pulling a Pa ruthiveeran climax” on a lone ‘woman’ walking in the night, though many in the audience didn’t seem to share my disgust and laughed out loud.Vishnu Vishal, however, gets some of the film’s funniest scenes. He gets a hilarious line where he justifies the torture of locked-up criminals, which was apparently, his only take-away from wat chi ng Visaranai. The film also cleverly closes all the plot points it sets up early on. From having shades of a typical Su ndar C film, it ends up becoming one towards the climax…the climactic car chase, for one, shares an uncanny resemblance to the one from Sundar C’s Kalakalappu.
It’s a film that partially succeeds in what it sets out to do, but Chella Ayyavu’s film fails in his attempt at that one laugh-till-you-cry stretch that we got in Ezhil’s Velainnu Vanthutta Vellakkaran and the uninterruptible Robo Sh ankar. Sadly, the film’s only audaciously funny bit comes during the end credits with Anand Raj revealing his sec ret identity…it’s a scene I can watch nooru thadava. The same, though, cannot be said about Silukkuvaarpatti Sin gam.Without knowing the background of Shankar, he puts him behind the bar. Shankar’s gang including Tony (Yogi Babu) manages to bring him out of the lockup and now the former vows to finish off Sakthi before leaving the place.
Vishnu Vishal has pulled out an energetic and convincing performance. His comic timing is flawless and he is equally impressive in action blocks and dance routines. Regina looks pretty, but has no scope to perform. Yogi Babu as Tony, the right hand of Sai Ravi who is in form brings the roof down with his timely comic one-liners. Sai Ravi is menacing. Oviya does an extended cameo replete performing a kutthu song. Karunakaran, Anandharaj, Mansoor Ali Khan, Livingston, Singamuthu and Lollu Sabha Manohar chip in their bit to tickle our funny bones. The rape jokes are not in good taste and the debutant director could have avoided them on an otherwise clean and family joy ride. Leon James music goes well with the mood of the film.
