The FDA has merely classified MSG as a food ingredient that is “generally recognised as safe” but it is important for parents to understand that children should not consume food items that contain MSG frequently.

As a nutritionist i would never takea chance with children’s health and would advice parents to limit the use of MSG in their cooking”Divya has always expressed her concern about children’s health… “Malnutrition is a significant issue in our country. India has seen remarkable growth in many aspectsbut we need radical improvements in many areas. 38.4 % of children under the age of 5 are stunted and only 62 % of children between  12 to 23 months are immunised. The well being of children is one of the most important indicators of a country’s progress…every child should have access to quality health and education”.
