10-feet tall fish-shaped trash bin at Thiruvanmiyur beach – Inchcape’s new initiative against plastic pollution
Chennai, February 26: In line with the UN Environment Month theme of “Beat Plastic Pollution”, Inchcape installed a 10-feet tall fish-shaped trash bin at Thiruvanmiyur beach.
The event was attended by Rajini Ravi, Global Head of Finance, Inchcape, environmental activist Hafeez Khan and over 30 employee volunteers.

The project was implemented under the guidance of Greater Chennai Corporation – South Zone. The initiative was also implemented in collaboration with communiTREE, an organization involved in environmental protection.

Integrating art, utility, and awareness, the “FishnBin” initiative encourages the public to responsibly dispose of trash at the beach. It is an
important step towards protecting marine life and creating clean beaches.
