Chennai (India), May 5, 2025: Airtel Busi ness today announced the launch of ‘Bu siness Name Display’ (BND), an industry y-first solution designed to enhance cus stomer engagement for enterprises. The service enables businesses to display th eir brand name on the recipient’s mobile screen during outgoing calls, thereby fo stering trust and helping customers dist tinguish legitimate business calls from s pam.
 
Airtel solved the spam challenge for its customers with the launch of India’s fir st spam-fighting network, supported by a nationwide awareness campaign to e ducate users. While these initiatives ha ve significantly increased customer awa reness, leading more people to ignore c alls flagged as spam or from unknown n umbers, it also resulted in unintended c onsequences where call from brands got tagged as spam. Consequently, custome rs were missing on critical calls from ban nks, food delivery, courier delivery, hosp ital for critical doctor’s appointment .

The “Business Name Display” solves for this challenge and facilitates a relevant yet safe communication environment en abling end customers to make informed decisions on all incoming calls, which wi ll  display the name of the company the call is from. In turn, businesses can stan nd-out to their customers even as they p rotect them from fraudulent callers.
