Movie Review-:
Debutant actor Madhi, who plays the hero, has all the qualities of a hero in appearance. He beautifully expresses various emotions like the anguish of losing an elephant, the struggle to save it from danger, and the anger at those who try to separate it from him, and gets a pass mark in his performance.
Shritha Rao, who appears only in a few scenes other than as the heroine, Andrews, who plays the hero’s friend, Arjun Das, who plays a forest officer, Akash, who plays a politician’s assistant, and Harish Peradi, who plays a police inspector, have done their job flawlessly. All the songs in Nivas K. Prasanna’s music are melodious.
The background music also travels according to the scenes. Cinematographer M. Sukumar’s camera has displayed the mountains and waterfalls in a way that amazes the audience. At the same time, it is obvious that some cheating has been done in the forest scenes. Editor Buvan has edited the scenes very neatly and conveyed what director Prabhu Solomon wanted to say to the audience.

Just as director Prabhu Solomon is not new to the forest and the elephant, this story is not new to the audience either. Two similar films have been released in Tamil cinema. However, this one has a special quality that neither of them has. The lack of anything in the film beyond the affection between the hero and the elephant is a major weakness.
To cover up that weakness, director Prabhu Solomon has written a screenplay that includes the activities of the elephant Kumki and the political events in Tamil Nadu, but although the scenes are somewhat interesting, the scenes are not that interesting. However, the friendship between the little elephant and the boy, the way the elephant was filmed, and some forest scenes make the film enjoyable. Overall, ‘Kumki 2’ is great only in its form.
