DIRECTOR GENERAL INDIAN COAST GUARD REVIEWED THE OPERATIONAL PREPAREDNESS OF EASTERN SEA BOARD

Director General VS Pathania, PTM, TM Director General Indian Coast Guard reviewed the operational prepa redness of Eastern Sea Board during day at sea off Chennai on 29 Jul 22. Ships and Aircraft of Coast Guard Ea stern Sea Board displayed various Coast Guard charter of duties including firefighting, boarding operations, Search and Rescue and Pollution Response demo.

The recently inducted state of the art Dhruv ALH MK-III Helicopters displayed search rescue operations by us ing rescue basket. The event concluded with a spectacular steam past by participating ships followed by fly past executed by aircraft of the region.

As the fourth largest Coast Guard in the world, Indian Coast Guard has played a significant role in securing the In dian Coast and enforcing the regulations within the maritime zone of India. Proactive efforts and coordination with all stakeholders has ensured safeguarding of all mariners at sea in line with ICG motto “VAYAMR AKSHA M AH” –“WE PROTECT”.
