TN Health Minister presents FICCI TANCARE Healthcare Excellence Awards; Unveils Healthcare Start-ups Registry

Chennai, November 12, 2022:  FICCI TANCARE 2022 – its 14th Edition Healthcare Conference & Excellence in Healthcare Awards Ceremony was held amidst the Healthcare fraternity, Government body and Private Insti tutions on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at ITC Grand Chola, Chennai. Chief Guest Thiru.Ma Subramanian – Ho n’ble Minister for Health, Medical Education, and Family Welfare, Government of Tamil Nadu, honored the rec ipients at the ceremony along with Thiru P. Senthil Kumar IAS, Principal Secretary, Department of Health & Fa mily Welfare, Government of Tamil Nadu, Dr. GSK Velu, Chairman, FICCI Tamil Nadu State Council & CMD – Tri vitron/ Neuberg Group of Companies, Mr. Bhupesh Nagarajan, Co-Chairman, FICCI Tamil Nadu State Council & CMD of Indira Projects and Dr. Prashanth Rajagopalan, Convenor – Healthcare Panel, FICCI Tamil Nadu State Council & Director MGM Healthcare.

The Conference & Awards ceremony witnessed Government Officials, Prominent Doctors from across the State, Hospital Promoters and Administrators, Dignitaries from Insurance, Medical Equipment Manufacturing, Start- u ps, Health-tech, Pharmaceuticals and Medical Consumables Manufacturers and Healthcare Consultants partici pating in it.

Thiru. Ma. Subramanian, unveiled the Tamil Nadu Health Start-ups Registry and while felicitating the winners, sa id, “Tamil Nadu has always been a forefront in giving exceptional healthcare services. Tamil Nadu continues to se t new benchmarks in using cutting-edge technology in healthcare and providing best solutions across every cate gory possible in Government, Private and the Health Sector as a whole. The focus on Health Start-ups is promisi ng and the ecosystem our government is building will be a welcome boost. Coming together of Start-up Tamil Na du, Health & Family Welfare Department along with FICCI and various other Incubators, Accelerators and stake holder bodies is going to catapult the ecosystem for Health Start-ups in the State”.

More than 40 Companies had applied for categories including Access to Healthcare, Diagnostics, Life- Sciences, Medical Devices (including affordable Point of Care), AYUSH Systems, Fitness & Sports and Mental Well-being.
