Shri Bramha Kumar, IFS, Joint Secretary OE division & PGE visited Chennai on 15th November 2023 and had a br ief meeting with the Recruiting Agents of Chennai region.
During the meeting he emphasized the need to disseminate information on legal and safe migration.
Protector of Emigrants, Chennai Shri Rajkumar M,IFS coordinated the meeting and gave a brief presentation on the travails of illegal migration for employment abroad.
He also enumerated the steps being taken and proposed to be implemented shortly to create awareness amon gst the public.
The meeting concluded with presentation of identity cards to the authorised recruiting agents. Heads of the Ta milnadu region Recruiting Agents thanked the External affairs ministry officials for the innovative steps being mooted .
