“Director Shiva Ganesh’s next directorial, ‘Sirpi,’ produced by AR Productions, has reached the final stages of shooting.
AR Productions’ maiden venture, ‘Sirpi,’ which was launched a couple of months ago, is nearing completion with shooting in progress. Actor Linga is playing the lead role in this. Abacus Grand Master and World Record Holder Sarabesh is debuting alongside him in a promising role in the film. The cast also includes Muthukumar, Vinod Sagar, Arol Shankar, Bhumika Shetty, Roja Sri, Papri Ghosh, and others in supporting roles. The script of the film is based on Senthil Jagannathan’s short story ‘Evvam.’
Shiva Ganesh is writing the screenplay and directing the film. He had earlier directed the Tamil web series ‘Singapenney’ and ‘Police Diary’ for ZEE5. Apart from this, he has directed 8 films in Kannada, including ‘Jigarthanda,’ produced by Kiccha Sudeep, and the V Ravichandran starrer ‘Aa Drushya.’ Hailing from Chennai, he is a music college student and has directed several commercial films. ‘Sirpi’ is the first Tamil film to be directed by a Karnataka State Film Award-winning Tamilian.
Srikanth is handling the camera. Subbu Alagappan is doing the Art Direction, and Devaraj is handling the editing. Mirattal Selva has been roped in to do the stunts, and Poppy Master will handle the dance choreography.
Dharmaprakash has composed the music for the film. The producers of the film, Sivakumar and Kothai nayagi, are confident that the songs, based on the lyrics by Kaviperarasu Vairamuthu, add great strength to the film.”
