Chennai, May 21, 2025: “Real estate is n ot just about buildings; it’s a foundation for employment, urban infrastructure, a nd economic resilience. Habib, President, CREDAI Tamil Nadu a nd Chairman and Managing Director of RWD while addressing the media today to share important insights and current trends of the Real Estate Industry in Ta mil Nadu.
CREDAI Tamil Nadu, the apex body of p rivate real estate developers in the sta te, under the leadership of its newly ele cted Mr. W. S. Habib, Chairman and Ma naging Director of RWD was joined by his Governing Council Members, also a nnounced the CREDAI Tamil Nadu Visio n and Mission for 2025-2027 and expect ations from the Tamil Nadu Government for the development of Real Estate Indu stry in Tamil Nadu and highlighted key st rategic priorities aimed at strengthenin g the real estate ecosystem and contrib uting meaningfully to the state’s $1 trilli on economic vision.
“There is an urgent need to enhance eas e of doing business, calling for digitized ed, transparent, and time-bound regula tory mechanisms. A major thrust of the CREDAI Tamil Nadu agenda is the timely implementation of master plans for all 1 35 major cities and towns across the sta te,” pointed out Mr W.S. Habib.
“These plans are not just administrative documents; they are blueprints for sust ainable, inclusive, and well-governed ur ban futures,” Mr. Habib noted, echoing t he government’s vision for planned dev elopment.
In a move to deepen its statewide prese nce, CREDAI Tamil Nadu announced the expansion of its chapter network. With 10 existing chapters, the association pla ns to add 5 to 6 more in key growth corri dors, including Sivagangai, Vellore, Karu ur, Nilgiris, and Thanjavur, enabling bet ter regional representation and local ad vocacy. Furthermore, reaffirming its glo bal outlook, CREDAI Tamil Nadu reveale d its plan to conduct annual internation nal expos under the “FAIRPRO” brand in Dubai, Muscat, Abudhabi, Riyadh, Doha and Singapore, aimed at attracting NRI i nvestments and showcasing Tamil Nadu u’s real estate strengths on the world st tage.
The leadership team also reiterated its c ommitment to sustainability, digital tran sformation, and affordable housing, posi tioning the real estate sector as a vital p artner in Tamil Nadu’s urban and econo mic transformation. “Our journey ahead will be driven by strong government-ind dustry collaboration, visionary planning, and a shared commitment to building m odern, liveable, and future-ready cities,” Mr. Habib concluded.
