Movie Review-:
Ravichandran (Ranjith) is a man who has taken a loan and gone bankrupt in a textile business. The rowdy who gave him the loan calls Ravi and threatens, “If you don’t pay back the loan within a week, I will kidnap and destroy your wife and children.” With no help from friends or relatives, Ravi decides to commit suicide with his family. What ha ppens after that is an unexpected climax.
There is a saying, “The borrower is heartb roken, Sri Lankan Vendan.” This saying is brought to mind by Ranjith, who is strugg ling with a loan.
If a person takes a loan, he has a chance to escape, but if a family man takes a loan, he will have a chance to escape, and the peo ple who take a loan and start a family know how much trouble he will face, and how it will affect his family. Director Venkatesan Palanisamy conveys that pain on screen, not as a cinematic thing, but as real feeli ngs in every scene, which raises the questi on of whether he would have experienced such suffering in reality.
The director has already said that this story was inspired by a newspaper article in Coim batore about a textile owner’s family comm itting suicide. While many people have read about it in the newspaper and gone through it, the director’s communist ideology may be the reason for his motivation to give a lesson to the people.
Meghalee, who plays Ranjith’s wife, is a woman who does not leave her husband in grief.Vittal Rao, Kathiravan, Raja, and Sad hguru also play roles. Directed and produc ed by Venkatesan Palaniswami, the film is not only a debt collector’s story but also a psycho crime story. That gives a twist in the climax.
The film raises the question and suspicion of why not a single person has been punis hed so far despite the law against usury, me ter interest, and racket interest.Music comp oser Sunil Lazar draws attention to the scen es by making a song resonate with sad ton es throughout the film. The cinematograp hy of the Suriyakandhi is clear. The final effort – mental anguish, heartbreak..
