Story -:
Radhika, an old woman named Paunuthai, roams the village as an untamed personality. Everyone is afraid of her. One cut, two pieces are her way. She buys her own house and runs a business of lending it out on interest. She has a brash nature and a mind that does not fear anyone. Her sons roam around irresponsibly. She keeps all the power within herself and rules the family. She has the nature of wanting to enjoy only what she has earned and all the power is for herself. Not only that, she roams around without fearing anyone in the village. One day, such a person falls into bed. Her speech is slurred as if she has a stroke. But only one hand moves.

She says something as if she is holding a finger. Everyone is confused about what she is trying to say. When they see what it is, they tell the man something. A man who comes to that town says that he owns a jewelry shop in Madurai and that the old woman bought 160 pounds from him. Believing this, the old woman’s three sons and son-in-law race to get the jewelry and search for it. Did they get the jewelry? What happened to the old woman’s health? That is the rest of the story of the film ‘Old Woman’.
Watch The Video-:
Movie Review -;
The director has shown through various scenes how inferior every human being becomes when given the opportunity.
The scene of speaking English to those who do not know English in a conversation in the hospital is thought-provoking.

The director has presented the role of Paunuthai, which Radhika has adopted not only as an example for women but also as a hopeful role. The dialogues in which Radhika talks about the self-reliance of women are deep and compelling.

The alapparas performed by the lion and tiger, who come as a fan of Kamal, are enjoyable and the Kamal film songs that sound appropriate in the situations here and there add more interesting beauty to those scenes. This continues until the ‘God has set the stage’ that sounds in the wedding scene at the end.

It takes courage to make a film centered on an old woman, different from the usual commercial formula stories. It also takes a good heart to produce it, so we can congratulate and praise the film crew including the director, producer.
Overall, this Thaai Kizhavi will First Placed .
