Some collaborations create instant excitement, and the reunion of Megastar Chiranjeevi with successful filmmaker Bobby Kolli is undoubtedly one of them. Their first outing, Waltair Veerayya, was a sensational blockbuster that showcased Chiranjeevi in peak mass form. Now, the duo is back with another massive project- #ChiruBobby2 / #Chiru158, to be mounted on a prestigious manner by producer Venkat K Narayana under the KVN Productions banner. The film also marks KVN Productions’ maiden Telugu venture after delivering several big-scale projects in Kannada, Tamil, and Hindi.
After back-to-back announcements that fuelled tremendous buzz, the film has been officially launched today with a grand pooja ceremony. The event turned truly mega with the presence of Power Star Pawan Kalyan and Nagababu, who graced the occasion as chief guests. It was a visual delight for fans to witness the mega trio sharing the stage. Pawan Kalyan sounded the clapboard, while Sushmita Konidela switched on the camera. VV Vinayak has done the honours of directing the first shot. B Gopal, Kodandarami Reddy, and Nagababu handed over the script to the makers. The event also saw the presence of several prominent directors and producers. Lohith from KVN Productions, along with the team, also attended the event.
Director Bobby Kolli, who understands the pulse of the masses like few others, crafted an even bigger story this time, promising scale, intensity, and spectacle. Chiranjeevi, known for countless iconic characters over decades, will be seen in one of his most intense roles yet. His recent gym session video, showcasing his remarkable fitness transformation, already hints at the dedication he is pouring into the film.
Malayalam actress Anaswara Rajan has been finalized for a crucial role in the film.
#ChiruBobby2 boasts a powerhouse technical lineup. The in-form composer S Thaman is scoring the music, while acclaimed cinematographer Vijay Karthik Kannan is crafting the film’s rich visual palette. Production design is helmed by Avinash Kolla, with editing by Antony Ruben. The screenplay is penned by Kona Venkat and K Chakravarthy Reddy, supported by additional screenplay writers Hari Mohana Krishna and Vineeth Potluri. The successful duo Bhanu–Nandu, known for their hilarious writing, take charge of the dialogues.
The regular shoot of the movie commences tomorrow in Hyderabad.
