Story -:
Swasika has two sons, Ajay Theeshan and Sakthi. After her husband passed away when they were young, she raised them single-handedly amidst numerous hardships, all while facing the judgmental gaze of the community. Eventually, she desires to remarry. When she conveys this to her eldest son through a school teacher, he reacts with anger and refuses. Time passes, and the sons grow up and begin working. Now, Ajay Theeshan himself feels his mother should remarry; however, he stubbornly insists that he will marry Kavya Anil only if his mother gets married first. Did his mother agree to the remarriage? What role did Vijay Antony’s character play? That forms the rest of the story.

Movie Review-:
It is common for men who have lost their wives to remarry. However, this film raises the question of how society views a woman—especially one over the age of 40—who wishes to remarry after losing her husband. Vijay Antony deserves praise for bringing this excellent concept to the screen, basing it on real-life events.
The film begins by gently portraying a mother’s struggles, but the story gains momentum in the second half following Vijay Antony’s entry. Blending romance, comedy, and emotion, the final half-hour moves at a brisk pace. While the core theme is excellent, a slight drawback is the lack of emotional depth and intensity in certain parts of the first half.
Despite having fewer commercial elements, the message conveyed is commendable. Swasika Vijay delivers a stellar performance as Vasuki; she truly embodies the character of a woman who smiles on the outside while harboring pain within. She is the film’s true hero. Ajay Theesan displays great maturity in his portrayal of Bhaskar, and Sakthi is perfect in the role of Vivek. Vijay Antony shines in every scene he appears in during the second half.
The supporting cast has also done justice to their respective roles. Balaji Sriram’s music is a major asset to the film; both the songs and the background score are fresh and engaging. S.P. Dharshan Kirloskar’s cinematography beautifully captures the film’s emotional tone, and the editing is neat. Director Sasi has chosen a significant and sensitive subject. Although the limited commercial elements might be seen as a downside, the film stands out as a praiseworthy effort. Overall, this film, centered on the theme of a mother remarrying, is a commendable endeavor.
