Story -:
The film opens by providing clues about just how deranged a psychopath Nazlan is. The narrative then shifts to Surya, a police officer who operates by his own set of rules, functioning within the police station exactly as he pleases.
A serial killer whom Surya had apprehended years earlier is currently in prison; yet, murders following the same modus operandi begin to occur once again. Meanwhile, due to a personal crisis, Surya decides to resign from his job—even as Nazlan’s killing spree continues.
With his ego constantly provoked, Surya finds himself dealing with his own personal troubles—all while keeping Nazriya by his side and bringing his parents back to live with him. The rest of the story follows whether or not he manages to track down and catch Nazlan.

Movie Review -:
Suriya has truly reached his peak; his performance is absolutely stellar. His collaboration with Nazriya—after realizing the nature of his own predicament—is fantastic, and his encounter with Naslen in the second half is nothing short of explosive.
Naslen makes a brilliant entry into Tamil cinema; he is outstanding. Playing a highly intelligent psychopath—responsible for over a hundred murders—he delivers a performance that is remarkably understated yet incredibly impactful.
While Nazriya’s initial scenes feel a bit dull, she makes a strong comeback in the second half. The supporting cast—Anandaraj as a father with mental health struggles, the mother who battles alcoholism, and police officers played by Raj Priyan and Vinoth—all deliver excellent performances.
The first half, which focuses on Naslen’s story, is neat, but it’s unclear where Suriya’s arc is heading, leading to some confusion. Just as one begins to wonder, “What exactly is happening here?”, Nazriya’s entry—and the realization of the trap they’ve fallen into—brings a sharp turn, leading into an engaging interval. From there, the one-on-one “cat-and-mouse” game between Suriya and Naslen is pure fireworks. Director Jeethu Madhavan’s signature style is evident throughout—from Nazriya’s hands trembling as she tries to drink water, to Suriya’s mother’s hands shaking as she pours a drink. Technically, the cinematography is superb, and Sushin’s background score serves as a major strength.
Suriya’s top-class performance, Naslen’s understated acting, a strong second half, and excellent technical work.
The first half tests one’s patience a little.
All in all, this is a cracker of a film for this Deepavali.
