Story -:
Kalakammayapatti – A social cinema that tells the story of social divisions!
The film begins with a scene where a grandmother tells a story to her granddaughter. That story is the central story of the film. In the village of Kalakammayapatti, a god who appears from the mountains is the deity worshipped there. Around that god, two factions form in the village, one is the dominant one, and the other is the oppressed one.
The hero Arjun Das and Kali Venkat are on the side of the oppressed. Kali Venkat fights to change the village where there is a lot of fighting over small matters. However, the incident that happens at the moment of his death becomes the turning point of the story. The events that follow are the events that make Kalakammayapatti

Movie Review -:
The biggest strength of the film is Arjun Das’ performance. Arjun Das has given a wonderful performance in a very soft role unlike anything we have seen before. He has dissolved the background of the hero and dedicated himself completely to the character. He has definitely revealed all the features to become a leading hero in Tamil cinema through this film.
Kali Venkat – A wonderful performance that makes you laugh without dialogues! Abhirami and Nassar have elevated the film with their experienced performances. Singampuli, Kiccha Ravi, and Saravanan have also contributed well. The heroine’s character could have been written more strongly; however, there is no shortage of acting. TSK also has a good chance.
The environment design of the village and the camera work are spectacular. In music, Imman – has made more impact in the background music than in the songs.
The central idea of the film is the coexistence of two groups. However, since the screenplay is not sufficiently compelling, the story does not fully attract the audience.
In particular, the director did not use the comedy opportunities in the first half. However, the central message of the film is that instead of fighting like “Your God is greater, my God is greater”, search for the God within each of us – which is commendable.
Even if we forget some of the shortcomings, Mundasupatti missed the opportunity to develop into a great film like Mandela. But there is no doubt that we can visit ‘Kaalakammayapatti’ once.
