26 May 2025 – The Fly & Ride Cycle Ev e nt 2025 : A Cross-Border Cycling Adven ture Malaysia & Thailand Edition, or gan ized by Dayasakti Travel & Tours Sdn Bh d, and Tourism Malaysia Chennai, suppo rted by Just Buy Cycles, concluded wi th resounding success on 23 May 2025.
Th is extraordinary event, held under th e banner of Visit Malaysia Year 2026 (V M Y 2026), brought together 30 passion at te cyclists from South India for a 200-kil ometer journey across the scenic lan nds c apes of Malaysia and Thailand.
The event was led by Mr. Hishamuddin Mustafa, Director of Tourism Malaysia Chennai (South India & Sri Lanka), alon gside Dato’ Chandran Suppiah, Director of Dayasakti Travel & Tours. Participani pants experienced the perfect blend of adventure, culture, and camaraderie, c ycling through stunning locales and bui lding bridges across borders.
Event Highlights
* Heritage Ride in Penang
Participants began their journey with a 20-kilometer heritage ride in Penang, ex ploring the city’s rich cultural landmarks rks , followed by a ferry ride to the mainl and.
* Thai Ride in Songkhla & Hatyai
The journey continued to Dannok, Song khla, and Hatyai, Thailand, where cyclist s enjoyed scenic coastal rides and the w arm hospitality of the local communities .
*. Cross-Border Cycling from Thailand to Malaysia
A cross-border ride from Hatyai to Pad ang Besar showcased the seamless inte gration of two countries’ tourism effort s, with participants cycling into Arau, Ka ngar, before continuing via train to Ipoh.
*. Cycling Adventures in Ipoh & KualaL um pur
The event concluded with city rides thro ugh Ipoh and Kuala Lumpur, a visit to Ba tu Caves, and a memorable cultural dinn er at Saloma Bistro under the iconic KLC C Twin Towers.
