Movie Review -:

The director Dr. Pragabala, who has tried to tell the story centered on the kida fighting competition in Madurai and surrounding areas, has added great strength to the film by depicting the kida fighting matches close to the truth. Yuvan Krishna, who is playing the hero, has threatened Madurai in his acting as a young man and has made him look like the kida he is raising in the fight scenes. On the one hand the underdog is on the other hand the romantic scenes with Ammu Abhirami and his mature performances in the emotional scenes are masterful as an actor.

Despite having all the features of a hero, Ritan Krishna, who is threatening as a villain, has created a lot of heat on the screen by speaking action lines saying, “Kita knows not only fighting, but also rowdyism”.

Ammu Abhirami, who plays the female lead, is a fitting choice for the role and has done her job flawlessly. Madhusudhan Rao, Sidhan Mohan, Saranya Ravi, Padman, Yogi, Sai Dinesh, Chidambaram, Praveen, Aadhav and Esha are the appropriate choices for the characters and in acting they have lived as Madurai people.

Cinematographer NS Udayakumar has realistically displayed the colors of Madurai and surrounding areas and the minds of the people. The closeness to reality in the way Kida fights and matches are shot adds strength to the film. All the songs in Shakti Balaji’s music are listenable. The background music kinda takes the fighting matches to the height of excitement.
N. P. Srikanth, who edited the trailer of the film as a threat, has increased the interest of the screenplay by editing the film emotionally, not only as a threat.

Dr. Prakabal, who has written and directed, while filming the true events, has done very well how to tell it in the language of the screen. In particular, Kida has given a new experience to the cinema audience by filming the fights and matches very realistically.

Though there are many aspects of love and sentiment in the screenplay, which is based on the plot of a fight, the enmity that develops through it, the whole movie is in action mode, which makes the screenplay a little weak. However, the performances of the actors and the kid’s fight matches hide that weakness and make the film enjoyable.
Overall, though the pitch of ‘Jackey’ looks good, Kida fight is new to Tamil cinema.
