Movie Review-:

The story centers around a famous director and a leading actor he introduces. Once upon a time, both of them worked together for art. But over time, the rivalry and personality clash between them – that is the plot of “Kaantha”. In the middle of this conflict, a new face comes – a young actress. She completely changes their lives and the art world. The arrival of that woman reveals the dreams, fears, and struggles of women of that time.

“Kaantha” is not an ordinary love story. It is a mental struggle of artists. A director makes his cinema alive; an actor protects his fame; a woman searches for her identity. The story intensifies only at the moments when these three lives collide with each other. The biggest plus for the film is the choice of characters. The hero Dulquer Salmaan has lived that character.

Samuthirakani has entered and played the role of Ayya to give him a tough time. The heroine Bhagyashree Porsche has made a name for herself with her beauty. The other characters have also done their job perfectly. The background music by Jakes Bejoy makes us travel with the film. Danny’s cinematography takes us to that period.

Art director Ramalingam’s contribution has added strength to the film. He has brought to our attention what Madras was like in 1950. Director Selvamani Selvaraj, although moving the screenplay slowly, has taken it without faltering and has attracted attention. It is a time when the cinema world has entered a new dimension. The art world of old Madras, studio culture, black & white scenes – all are going to be a wonderful cinematic experience.

Kaantha” is an emotional story that combines the pride of an artist, the jealousy of a man, and the dream of a woman. This Kantha is a period drama that beautifully expresses everything – the passion for cinema, competition, greed, division.
