Movie Review-:

There are many different storylines coming up in Indian cinema, and it is special that director Dominic Arun touched on the vampire genre, while it was largely ignored, and compared it to a national goddess, which is suitable for our field.

For that, Kalyani fits right into the role of Chandra. Although she initially tolerates that her power should not be revealed, at one point the scene where she reveals her power is on par with mass actors. In particular, the intermission shows the story of how Chandra got this super power when she was young, and the scene where she turns into a vampire is simply amazing, comparing it to the Argon theft gang that kidnapped Chandra.

Nazlan, who plays Kalyani’s lover, comes across as a comedian throughout the film. The things he does to impress Kalyani in the beginning, and the scenes where he screams when he finds out that she is a vampire at the end are enjoyable. Sandy Master, who almost acts like a villain in the film, is also a patriarchal figure throughout the film, and Sandy has done his best in the decisions he makes when he gets vampire power, but it is like committing Sandy to a specific role. How can Malayalam films do this in this short film? It is surprising that they are giving such a quality film on such a budget.

To score well in everything from cinematography to music, they have threatened with stunt scenes. Kalyani has also mixed in stunt scenes like the heroes. The first half of the film arouses curiosity about what is going on, and in the second half, there is no big twist at all, everything ends as we expected, which reduces the interest a little.

Also, although the cameo scenes seem like an additional strength in the film, they do not have a big impact, they are just put in as applause. Perhaps they will add strength in the subsequent parts. Storyline. Intermission scene.

Kalyani is a one-woman show.

Technical matters plus Points The second half could have added more interest.

The villain character could have been stronger. Overall, Loka-Chapter 1 is definitely a super start for a super power universe. Minus Points
