Movie Review -:
The story unfolds as an investigation int o a writer. ‘The idea behind this film is to tell writers who have an impact on the majority of society that they should pr esent their writings responsibly,’ said t he film’s director A.R. Raghavendra. Al though the film’s one-liner sounds like a platform for alternative cinema, the scr eenplay has helped create excitement. V asan is trapped in the world he has creat ed and is struggling.
Vasan is writing three series simulta neo usly. In the first series, a rowdy named D hanapal commits his 50th murder and w ants to get rid of the profession. But wh en he picks up a knife in his hand, a stran ge problem arises for him. In the second series, the ‘NEET’ problem facing Raji, a schoolgirl who wants to become a docto r, turns her towards a bottle of pesticide . In the third series, Radhika accuses a m aid named Selvi of stealing two thousan d rupees. Selvi comes to the writer’s hou se and asks, “Why did you accuse me of being honest?” Radhika, who comes late r, says, “Why don’t you work like a man t o support Selvi?” and tells lies about Sel vi. Selvi’s husband, who works as a carp enter, tries to smuggle perfume for his w ife and kill her. When Vasan is beaten an d taken to the hospital, Raji gives him an injection, saying, “Why did you nurture my dream of becoming a doctor from a y oung age?” Vasan runs away from Raji a nd gets caught by Dhanapal.
“Who is that Selvi? Oh, and then there’s another Radhika?” Vasan’s wife calls a H indu panchayat. Director A.R. Raghaven dra and his friend M. Srinivasan have wri tten as interestingly as possible about h ow he escapes from being trapped in the shadows and reality.
Except for Delhi Ganesh who plays the e ditor, Sai Deena who plays the role of D hanapal, and M. Ramasamy who plays th e sculptor, all the others are newcomers. Nagarajan Kannan who plays the centra al character has also worked as the film m’s dialogue writer. Since he is a bit like Jayaram and draws the audience in, the audience forgets that he is a newcomer and starts enjoying his plight. In an atte mpt to defend himself, writer Vasan beh aves socially irresponsibly in only one st ory. S.K. Gayathri who plays Vasan’s wif e Indu is responsible for the excitement of the film. Mridula, who plays Raji, the dream-carrying woman, has perfectly c aptured the character’s longing and hel plessness in her performance.
Aishwarya Raghupathi, who played the role of a childless woman in DNA, has pl ayed Selvi well in the film. Karthik Sriniv asan, the director of Udappal, plays Selv i’ s husband. Despite the very low budge t, the film crew has delivered a very eleg ant film without any compromise on tec hnical quality. The roles of cinematogra grapher Sundar Ram Krishnan, editor N agooran Ramachandran, music compos er Anjana Rajagopalan, animation artist Aditi Harikumar, and poster artist Jeeva have been excellent. After watching the film, I was struck by how much better th e world would be if those spreading rum mors on social media were caught up in it.
