Story -:
A gang of villains from the northern states are coming with five containers to cause violence in Tamil Nadu with guns. Biju Menon, Vikrant and their team from the government’s NIA are deployed to stop them, out of which only one container is stopped by the NIA, while the other four containers have entered Tamil Nadu to stop it. In this clash, Biju is beaten by Menon and admitted to the hospital. On one side, there is a clash between the villain and the NIA, on the other side, Sivakarthikeyan (Ragu), who is heartbroken due to a failed love, makes an entry with the song Salambala. The heroine Rukmini (Malathi) tries to commit suicide because she has fallen in love with him and has broken up with him, and falls off a bridge and is beaten on her hands and feet by Sivakarthikeyan. Siva is also admitted to the same hospital where Biju Menon is admitted, and the two meet. At this time, Biju Menon discovers that the four containers are in a gas factory. He plans to blow up the factory somehow, and decides to send someone inside to blow it up. Knowing that Sivakarthikeyan is trying to kill him somehow, Biju Menon uses Sivakarthikeyan for his plan. When Sivakarthikeyan goes into the factory, Rukmini returns looking for him. What happened after this? What is Sivakarthikeyan’s background? Why did Rukmini leave Sivakarthikeyan? Were the containers given or not? That is the rest of the story of the film.

Movie Review-:
Director A.R. Murugadoss’s storyline is special. But it seems that the screenplay could have been made stronger. All the love scenes are super. Especially Sivakarthikeyan – Rukmini’s love is felt, and everything was beautifully shown on screen. It was a pleasure to watch.
Raghu sees his entire family relationship with the heroine Malathi, and if there is a problem with her, he will go to any extent. But, there is very little interest in it. There are many logical violations in the fight scenes. Well, if you don’t see logic in a commercial film, there are many cuts in the fight scenes. I don’t understand why that is. It just comes out harsh. A.R. Murugadoss uses his knowledge to play with the screenplay and surprises us by hiding many surprises in each scene. We have seen that in films like Thuppakki, Ghajini, Kaththi, Ramana. But there are only a couple of scenes like that in Madrasi. It sets the film back a bit.
Special praise for the effort Sivakarthikeya n has put in for the fight scenes. He could have staged quality fight scenes with two action heroes, Sivakarthikeyan on one side and Vidyut Jammwal on the other. Instead, both of them beat each other up relent relentlessly. Watching the fight scenes, we have to say ‘Atra Avan’. But, here it is to the point where we say, ‘Don’t finish the fight’. Especially the climax scene is included.
The hero Sivakarthikeyan has shown a different performance in the film. It can even be called the next level in acting. But whether his performance connected with us is a question mark. Murugadoss has strongly designed the character of heroine Rukmini Vasanth. Rukmini’s acceptance and acting was excellent and enjoyable.
Although the villain is Vidyut Jammwal, actor Shabir, who came as a supporting villain, has scored. Although Vidyuth was intimidating in the action scenes, Shabbir’s character was interesting. Biju Menon and Vikrant also played their roles well. Anirudh’s background music and songs were not a workout. His background music always gives a special elevation to the characters. But, there is nothing like that in the film. That also causes a huge setback to the film. The cinematography is the biggest strength of the film. Sudeep has done it well. The editing could have been even stronger.
Plus points Love scenes Sivakarthikeya n, Rukmini Vasanth, Shabbir, Vidyuth’s acting cinematography Sivakarthikeyan, Rukmini Vasanth, Shabbir, Vidyuth’s ac ting cinematograph interlude scene Logic violations. A lot of cuts in the fight scenes. Anirudh Sothappal A screenplay that was less interesting .Overall, Madarasi is nei ther disappointing nor satisfying.
