Story -:
Sathyaraj is a writer, he always thinks at an elite level, he gets advice that he sho uld write about ordinary people through a woman, that is how he will get a big re ach. He accepts it and immediately mee ets Kali Venkat in a bar and listens to his story. Kali Venkat drives an auto and fig hts to make his son and daughter big pe ople with the small income he gets from it. Although his daughter Roshni is in a g ood job, Kali Venkat thinks that he shou ld give 5 lakh rupees for her marriage. A t the same time, he starts a struggle to g et money for his son to study engineerin ng, where did all this lead him, why did K ali Venkat, who never drank, come to th he bar, this is a emotional story of this M adras Matinee.

Kaali Venkat, a boon to Tamil cinema, ha s lived a middle-class life right before ou r eyes. As a father, he works day and nig ht for his children, and at one point, he b reaks down and says that being a loving father is not enough, he has to be a resp onsible father, and he makes everyone n ervous with his acting. Sathyaraj starts l istening to the story of what adventure is going to be in a middle class, and Kaal li’s son wants to get good grades and go to a good college, and he thinks that his father is a coward, but when he finds ou ut that his father has brought him to a b ad state, he is proud of his father, and th ere is a lot of emotional touch througho ut the film.
In addition, how does this society view a woman, whether she is a daughter, a cas te, a color, even if she is educated and w orks in a big place, the hardship she face s when she sees a woman, and beyond t hat, her manager Archana makes her thi nk whether this marriage is necessary, t his is an awareness for women of this ti me. Even Kali Venkat’s wife, who has on ly seen religious issues in her life, advise s her not to study, and says, “Don’t live with a man who doesn’t like you.” Apart from this, the pickle seller, Marijam Geo rge, Pachavanti Prema, Ramar, Boomer Uncle who works at EB, all live their live es as their characters. Technically, the m usic and cinematography are great.
Des pite all these pluses, the film is a doc um entary style in many places, and the question arises whether it is a film for all au dienc es.
