Poster and designing legend Kumar R, who worked in over 1000 films in South Indian cinema, passed away on August 10 in Chennai due to ill health. He was 67.
Kumar left an indelible mark in the industry by working with many generations of renowned artistes including K. Balachander, Bharathiraja, Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Mani Ratnam, K.S. Ravikumar, Suresh Krishna, Vikram, S.J. Suryah, Dharani and others. It is noteworthy that he continued to work for Kamal Haasan’s films from ‘Vikram’ to ‘Sabash Naidu’.
