Story-:

*Vowels* is a feature-length film created by weaving together five short films directed by five different filmmakers. The sole common thread binding these five films is that their narratives are all centered on the theme of love; apart from this, they share no other connection. At the same time, the title *Vowels* (signifying “vowel sounds” or “life-letters”) was chosen because these five stories are intrinsically linked to the essence of life itself.
1. A murder born of a foolish love—an obsession to transform an imagined fantasy into reality!
2. The realization—arising from a blind love for a perilous journey—that one’s actions not only endanger oneself but also inflict harm upon one’s loved ones.
3. An endeavor to transform the minds of foolish individuals—who attempt to end their lives following a romantic separation—through the healing power of genuine, heartfelt love!
4. An encouragement to trust those who love us without suspicion, and to journey alongside them—and their love—without a shred of hesitation or doubt!
5. A demonstration—conveyed through dreams, the mirror of our inner thoughts—that the love professed by the lips is often a lie, while the love residing within the heart is the only truth.
Through these five distinct narratives, *Vowels* represents an earnest attempt to instill the multifaceted emotions of love deep within the hearts and minds of the audience.

Movie Review-:

The entire cast—including Yugi Sethu, Chinni Jayanth, Raj Ayyappa, Samyuktha Viswanathan, Nandu, Deepak Ramesh, Paramesh, Kajal Choudhary, Peter K, Sarath Ravi, Akshitha Bopaiah, Priyanka Chandrasekar, Bharath Bopanna, and Vijitha Vasitha—has performed admirably, perfectly embodying the specific characters within the five distinct stories.

In particular, Yugi Sethu’s character and his dialogue delivery are highly entertaining, delighting the audience and eliciting plenty of laughter. Chinni Jayanth—who has frequently played the role of a college student in numerous films—deserves special applause for his portrayal of a college professor, as well as for the nuanced manner in which he depicts the romance and marital life experienced at a mature age.

Within their allotted timeframes—spanning a clear beginning and end—the five directors have conveyed their respective narratives in a manner that is both highly engaging and remarkably lucid. However, the fifth story, in particular, may cause significant confusion for some viewers in certain segments.

Cinematographers Keerthan Poojary and Sandeep Alluri have not only visually differentiated the five stories from one another but have also executed them with high technical quality. The color palettes and camera angles employed in the first and fifth stories are particularly striking and attention-grabbing. In the remaining stories, the cinematography effectively serves its purpose by seamlessly conveying the characters’ performances and dialogues to the audience.

Saravana Subramaniam’s musical score proves to be a tremendous asset to the film. Specifically, the Western-style background music and the song featured in the fifth story are uplifting and invigorating.
Harish Komme’s editing is crisp and engaging; by compiling all the stories concisely and effectively, he ensures that the film maintains a brisk pace throughout its runtime. Although five directors—Dileep Kumar, Hemant Kumar, Sangeeth, Santhosh Ravi, and Jagan Rajendran—each penned a distinct story, their collective decision to center their narratives on the theme of love—and the engaging manner in which they attempted to present it—ensures that the film moves along without any narrative lag. However, a significant weakness of the movie is that as soon as one story concludes and the next begins, the preceding narrative completely fades from the viewer’s memory.

While the underlying message in all five stories is simple, the directors managed to make them enjoyable by weaving these themes together with romance and presenting them in an engaging style. Through concise screenplays and effective visual staging, they succeeded in making their respective segments somewhat entertaining; nevertheless, with the sole exception of Yogi Sethu’s story, none of the other narratives left a lasting impact. All in all, *Vowels* is a novel endeavor.
