Movie Review-:
Geetha Kailasam, who plays the heroine of the story, has worked hard for the role of Angammal, by not wearing a jacket and smoking a cigar. Although Geetha Kailasam has correctly portrayed Angammal as a very courageous and hard-working woman, who can speak her mind and be an independent woman, she seems to have struggled a bit in her facial expressions and body language to portray the majestic woman Angammal.
Bharani, who plays Angammal’s eldest son, Thentral, who plays his wife, Charan, who plays his younger son, Mullaiarasi, who plays his girlfriend, Sudhakar, who plays Charan’s friend, and Yashmin, who plays the girl, have traveled to add strength to Angammal.

Cinematographer Anjoy Samuel has also made the locations in the film a character. At the very beginning of the film, he draws the audience’s attention to his camera by showing a vast landscape, and he presents all the areas like paintings, such as Angammal’s house, the mountain, and the field surrounded by coconut trees, creating a feast for the eyes.
Music composer Mohammed Maqbool Mansoor’s background music proves that even the wind can speak. The background music, which mixes with the characters as if the background music is not playing, has added great strength to the film.

Film editor Pradeep Shankar has done a great job of conveying Angammal’s mind and thoughts to the audience. Vipin Radha
krishnan, who has written and directed the screenplay for Perumal Murugan’s short story, has tried to tell the life of a woman named Angammal realistically.
Like Angammal, who, despite being a courageous and independent woman, gives up her stubbornness to have her freedom taken away by her children and to have to submit for them, director Vipin Radhakri shnan has emphatically recorded that no matter how courageous and independent women live, due to certain circumstances, they are not able to live their lives as they wish until the end.
Overall, ‘Angammal’ is an average woman.
