Story -:

Adhiran (KJR), who is on the edge of poverty and is lying on the ground saying that if he somehow runs and wins gold, he can change the situation of his home, even though he has set a record at the national level to somehow play in the Common Wealth Games, even though he went to the sports minister and complained against the high officials who prevented him from being selected, nothing was done. Due to this, no one found it serious enough to prosecute Adiran, who was angry. Banumathi (Rama) who has lost her husband as a cleaning worker and works for her son and daughter and knows the situation of her younger sister who lives in a house that does not even have facilities to go to the toilet.

Hero goes to court to file a case to stop the Common Wealth Games itself to somehow get the recognition she deserves. Did he run and win gold at the Commonwealth Games as expected? No? That is the story of this film

Movie Review-:

This movie is almost like Ram Charan’s Pethi. The scenes of the government thinking that they only want a medal instead of letting the common people play, and the hero’s arguments seeking the law to expose the corruption in the sports industry, are all applauded. The producer of KJR Studios, who produced films like Aram, Hero, Doctor and Ayalan, has become a hero with this film. The way the body language of the runner has been brought out beautifully shows how many young people take up the sport even from a poor home, thinking that sports can definitely change their status.

At the same time, some bad politics going on in the field of sports is the reason why our country is not able to get many medals and if it is the problem of the youth of other districts in Chennai, it gets applause. The way the Climax shows the scenes of the corruption in the Commonwealth Games and the scenes of the actual affected athletes is also great. Vasundhara plays Coach Rudra and Mansoor Ali Khan plays Sports Minister. Sinthuri, who plays the role of Satya, who is sexually harassed and gives up sports, and Viji Venkatesh, who plays the role of lawyer Andal, who is intimidating, have done their roles perfectly.

Being a sports film, he has given transformation to the extent that his body is so muscular that the veins in his legs are visible. It is wonderful how well done R and D in the sports industry is blocking the recognition that should be given to talented people from poor homes. The scenes of him arguing against the big lawyer as a single person in the court and every time the inability to speak and the urge to run somehow, the written things are special. Banumathi’s death song in Gibran’s music is heart wrenching. A. Vishwanath’s cinematography and Ramu Thangaraj’s art direction for the court set draw applause. The dubbing problem at some places in the beginning and the fact that the film moves in a very modest meter without any major interest in the first half turns out to be the biggest minus.

In the court room drama that comes after the break, the judge speaks on the hero’s side and the lawyer Andal, who appears on the government’s side with big buildups, has nothing to do with the hero being cleared by arguments or false witnesses, which makes the film very flat. While the film is good in terms of content, it falters at many places in terms of craft. Even though there are many flaws, the way the story is told right till the end, which takes the direction of glamor and Kuthup Patu like Pethi’s film, is perfect.
