‘Irumudi Kattu’ is a combination of various aspects like a father’s affection for his daughter, Ayyappa’s devotion, the character of the protagonist who stands against injustice against women, and the mysterious murders that follow.

Ravi Teja is the hero of the film. He lives with wife Priya Bhavani Shankar and eight-year-old daughter. Being a child born after many years of waiting, he is a father who is very fond of his daughter.

On the other hand, despite being rough and drunk in his lifestyle, he regularly observes 41 days of Ayyappa Vrat and visits Sabarimala every year for his daughter. During those 41 days, abstaining from alcohol and quarrels and keeping fast is an important part of his life.

In this case, Ravi Teja, who knocks down those who misbehave with women in the town, collides with the son of a prominent leader. After a few days of trouble between the two, the young man is found mysteriously murdered.

Suspicion arises that Ravi Teja is related to the murder. Meanwhile, incidents of mysterious deaths of schoolgirls are happening one after the other.

Movie Review -:

The director, who establishes the characters and problems in the first half, unravels the mysterious knots one by one in the second half. Especially the family affection scenes add emotion to the story.

Ravi Teja – Not just mass but also sentiment
The film is a perfect role for Ravi Teja. While his mass energy comes across in the action scenes, he exudes a completely different feel in the daughter-centric scenes.

Especially in the scenes surrounding the daughter in the second half, her performance becomes one of the emotional moments of the film. Not only as an action hero, he has also portrayed the anguish of a father very well.

Priya Bhavani Shankar is not only beautiful as the heroine but also gives a natural performance befitting the family background. The child star who plays the daughter also attracts attention in many scenes.

Actors like Saikumar, Swasika and Ajay Ghosh have handled the roles given to them with experience.

How about technically?
G.V. Prakash Kumar’s music is meant to heighten the feelings of the film. Especially the background music adds extra strength to the action and sentiment scenes.

The cinematography captures the dark and tense atmosphere of the story well. Cinematography also reduces unnecessary drag and helps maintain the pace of the story.

What are the disadvantages?
Some of the twists in the story are predictable and the length of the scenes is a bit too long at some places which hampers the pace of the film. Likewise, one feels that some of the characters could have been given more compelling backgrounds.

But Ravi Teja’s mass acting, family sentiment and the thriller aspects of the second half largely overcome these shortcomings.

‘Irumudi Kattu’, which not only keeps Bhakti as a background, but also combines family affection, action and mysterious murders, is a film that will especially appeal to Ravi Teja’s fans.

The action of a mass hero… the affection of a father… the mystery hidden within – ‘Irumudi Kattu’ is an interesting screen experience for fans.
