Story-:
The story is set in the 1970s in a village nestled in the Kodaikanal hills of the Madurai district, where tribal communities live in harmony with their traditional culture. Police Inspector Isakki Karvannan, an officer known for his uncompromising stance against injustice—often resorting to encounters to deal with wrongdoers—transfers to this village.
Amidst this setting, a teacher arrives from Madurai to work at the local school but is mysteriously killed just days after joining. Inspector Isakki investigates the murder; despite exploring various angles, he finds no leads. It is only while conducting research at a university in Madurai that he discovers a connection between the recent murder and certain events that occurred 150 years ago.
Isakki uncovers this link, and the rest of the film reveals what happens next. The director vividly brings the village to life, showcasing the Kodaikanal hill settlements, the people living in harmony with nature, the school, the police station, and the post office.
From the very beginning, the narrative unfolds with unique characters and supernatural elements.

Movie Review -:
After the murder, the story becomes very fast-paced and gripping. The sequences where the inspector investigates the identity of the killer are particularly engaging. There are several enjoyable aspects to the film; the beauty of village life is beautifully captured through the cinematography, and the background score serves as a strong asset.
Isakki Karvannan has performed excellently in the role of a police officer; his portrayal is so convincing that he looks like a real officer. Abi Nakshatra also deserves praise for her authentic portrayal of a tribal woman. Kadhal Sukumar’s comedy provides genuine laughs, and the editing is well-executed. It is a significant achievement for the director to depict the measures taken for women’s safety 150 years ago—a subject one might not typically consider. Overall, it is a film that everyone can enjoy.
