Story -:
Three people fall in love with Kartika at different times. When that love comes together, when the marriage is approaching, each of them dies mysteriously. One runs away from the town. Another person is killed in an accident and another person commits suicide. Daughter Kathika complains to the police that her father is the reason for this. Inspector Sarva Sezhian starts the investigation. Kartika’s father is a caste party leader and the police initially suspect that it could be a case of homicide. But slowly the investigation team keeps him away from the web of suspicion. They get confused as they don’t know who else.
At one point Inspector Chehyan claims to love Kartika and wants to marry her. Kartika hesitates to take the decision to marry because of the death of those who will marry her. While investigating again, many truths are revealed when the secrets buried deep in Kartika’s past are revealed. The investigation team is amazed. After that many unexpected incidents happen. what is it Who is responsible for this series of murders? The rest of the story of the movie ‘Andaran’ is about that.

Movie Review-:
Andharan is an engrossing mystery thriller that combines horror, romance and psychological drama to deliver an engrossing cinematic experience. Directed by debutant Santhosh Ravanan, the film weaves an intriguing storyline centered around fear, destiny and hidden truths.
The story revolves around a girl named Karthika. She is haunted by a heart-wrenching event in which every man she is about to marry dies under mysterious circumstances. As an investigating officer takes up the case, the story unfolds through a series of twists and revelations, gradually uncovering long-buried secrets. The screenplay maintains a constant sense of suspense and keeps the audience engaged with the story until the final twist.
Prajin Padmanabhan, bringing conviction and emotional depth to his role as the investigating officer, delivers a poised and believable performance. Ivana shines as Kartika; He effectively reveals his weakness and inner strength. The supporting cast, including Varun, Athiran, Anupama Kumar and Senthilkumari, add credibility and depth to the unfolding mystery.
Technically, the film is well made. Kishore Ramachandran’s cinematography enhances the horror atmosphere with moody scenes and dim light settings. Meanwhile, Hari SR’s background music complements the suspense without dominating the story. As the cinematography is perfect, the pace of the film is maintained smoothly for most parts.
Under the banner of Shri Krish Pictures, M.K. ‘Andharan’, produced by Sambasivam, succeeds as a finely crafted thriller. Despite minor pacing issues in parts of the second half, the film delivers a satisfying climax and keeps the mystery alive throughout the film. With excellent acting and skillful storytelling, it is a must-watch for fans of investigative thrillers.
