Movie Review-:
Ashwin Vishwanath, who plays the hero of the story, has added strength to the film by expressing all kinds of emotions like happiness, frustration, hatred, anger and guilt. Ashwin Vishwanath, who has perfectly expressed the mental struggles faced by the youth due to drug addiction through his emotional performance, has realized the ideas that the director wanted to convey to the audience and the future challenges of the youth that he wanted to notice.
Rajesh, Ramasamy, Tanuja, Litthara, Hariharan, Yogesh, R.Venkataramanan, D.Rajendran, who have played other roles have also done their work well and traveled strongly to the flow of the screenplay.
Cinematographer Kandasamy Gopal, though an awareness film, uses his angles and colors to make the scenes exciting and immersive and makes the audience connect with the film. He has perfectly displayed the mental struggles and feelings of the characters and conveyed it to the audience.
Music composer Meera Lal’s background score adds strength to the film. He has enlivened the emotional scenes with moderate background music instead of using noisy sounds.
Tisyan Sarathi has composed the scenes in a way that grabs the audience’s attention at the very beginning of the story and has kept the screenplay moving smoothly.
Although it is an awareness piece for the youth who lose their lives in the trap of drugs and a cautionary film for parents who are unaware of the dangers of the world of drugs that easily captivate their children, director R.Venkataramanan has told it very interestingly in the style of a suspense thriller for cinema fans.
Director R.Venkataramanan, who has told very well through the visual language that people who are talking about the increase in the habit of drinking alcohol in the country and the simple people who are addicted to it, are not aware of the various types of drugs that make school students addicted without making a sound, has shown close to the truth that those drugs are easily available to school students and they use them very casually.
Director R.Venkataramanan has been praised for directing an interesting film with a lively screenplay and scenes full of twists and turns, though he sensitively deals with social awareness and the mental struggles of the youth trapped in addiction and their families.
All in all, ‘Mudakanal’ is a must watch film for people from all walks of life
