Consequently, a gang of villains begins hunting for him; meanwhile, the police are also searching for Nikhil in connection with the disappearance of the observation home’s warden. Who is Nikhil—who, despite evading capture by both parties, continues to hover around the luxury resort? And what is the connection between him, the resort, and the warden’s disappearance? Movie Review-:
The protagonist, who was living a blissful life with his mother, father, and younger sister, is left an orphan after losing them all. While the narrative primarily follows the journey of the protagonist, Nikhil—who sets out to track down and exact revenge upon those responsible for his plight—Director Jagan Rayan has crafted a gripping film. By seamlessly weaving real-life incidents into the screenplay, he has delivered a thrilling cinematic experience that blends the styles of both suspense and investigative thrillers.
Debut actor C. Nikhil, starring as the protagonist, does full justice to his role through a vibrant and energetic performance. Excelling in both dance and action sequences, Nikhil executed his duties flawlessly, earning a resounding “pass” grade right in his very first film.

Harsha, who plays the female lead, does not have a substantial role; she makes an appearance in only a few scenes and a single song sequence.
Among the antagonists, Prabhakar—who portrays the warden of the observation home—delivers a far more menacing and intimidating performance than Arun Raja, who plays the primary villain.
Although the supporting cast—including Imman Annachi, Birla Bose, Kaathu Karuppu Kalai, Karpagam, Kavitha Vijayan, Sameer, City Raja, and Kerala Behmin—plays characters of significance, their performances do not leave a lasting impression on the viewer.
Since the majority of the scenes unfold indoors—within homes, luxury hotel rooms, or hotel premises—Cinematographer C. Bharathi Rajan has framed the visuals to perfectly suit these settings, delivering aesthetic shots that enhance the narrative and delight the audience.

Composed by Velan Sahadevan with lyrics by Suryamoorthy, the film’s songs are a pleasure to listen to; in particular, the romantic track “Butterfly Kannadichi…” and the song celebrating the virtues of a father are tunes that one finds oneself playing on repeat. The background score, too, flows seamlessly, complementing the on-screen visuals and narrative progression.
Despite the absence of grand, extravagant set pieces, Editor T.V. Meenakshi Sundar has skillfully assembled the film, rendering the screenplay’s various twists and turns completely unpredictable—thereby infusing the movie with an extra dose of excitement and intensity. Director Jagan Rayan has made a commendable effort to deliver an engaging suspense thriller based on a true incident. Although the film’s modest budget is evident in the absence of lavish visuals, he has narrated the intended story with great finesse and captivation.
Director Jagan Rayan infuses the screenplay with intensity through a multitude of elements—including the mysterious disappearance of a detention center warden, sexual misconduct occurring within a luxury resort, a blackmailing racket exploiting these incidents, the protagonist’s unjust confinement despite his innocence, and his personal family background—and a diverse array of characterizations; he has woven these threads together seamlessly and without any narrative confusion.

While the lack of grandeur—a consequence of budgetary constraints—does not significantly detract from the viewer’s experience, Director Jagan Rayan earns the audience’s appreciation by presenting a crime thriller narrative in a thoroughly convincing and credible manner. All in all Room Boy* proves to be well worth the price of admission.
