Story-:
The movie *Sigma* begins with mafia money worth ₹500 crore stashed away in a secret locker abroad. Guru (Sundeep Kishan), struggling to repay debts, is driven by the desire to save a library linked to his mother’s memories and to overcome his financial crisis.
In his attempt to do so, he visits a casino and becomes entangled in its illegal activities. A pen drive and a crucial key—both highly sought after by various parties—alter the course of the story. What happens next forms the rest of the plot.

Movie Review-:
The fight sequence during the interval manages to grab some attention. However, the preceding scenes focus largely on Guru’s debt issues and his efforts to save the library that serves as a memorial to his mother. Although *Sigma* positions itself as a heist and action-thriller, the first half lacks the expected pace and thrill. Fans anticipating action sequences might find this portion somewhat disappointing.
Compared to the first half, the second half features more action sequences. Yet, even these fail to make a significant impact. While the story introduces various twists and characters, they are insufficient to sustain the film’s engagement.
The cast includes Faria, Sampath Raj, and Raju Sundaram, alongside characters played by Sarangi, Ezhil, and Vincy. However, the backstories and character traits of most of them lack depth. Consequently, even potentially significant characters fail to leave a lasting impression.
Given that this is director Jason Sanjay’s debut and considering the technical resources available, one might have expected a more innovative approach to the screenplay and greater finesse in the visual execution. While the film possesses a certain grandeur, it lacks the strong writing, screenplay structure, and direction needed to transform it into a compelling action spectacle.
The sound design is notably impressive. However, these few technical merits are not enough to elevate the overall cinematic experience. Although Sandeep Kishan has the opportunity to play the role of ‘Guru’, the character’s design and the progression of the story fail to fully utilize his acting potential. Consequently, neither his performance nor the character leaves a lasting impact on the audience.
Despite incorporating elements typical of an action thriller—such as mafia money, casinos, a secret pen drive, and debt issues—*Sigma* struggles to transform them into a gripping cinematic experience. Lacking significant plot twists or memorable action sequences, the film fails to generate substantial engagement throughout.
If you enjoy action movies with a conventional storyline, you might want to give *Sigma* a try. However, for those expecting a unique plot and a high-octane screenplay, the film may not prove very satisfying.
